Feed the Resistance
Fall 2018 // Oregon State University //
Feed the Resistance was a book talk and signing that created a conversation on cooking as a form of political resistance and activism featuring esteemed chef and cookbook author Julia Turshen. This event addressed food equity and was inspired by the aphorism that it’s better to “build a longer table, not a higher fence.” Turshen's work is a practical and proactive response to the blatant gender and racial discrimination that plagues the food industry.
Not only did I get to apply my graphic design skills to this project, but I also created the marketing plan, managed the social media, edited & acted in a video, and even interviewed Julia for our college radio station, KBVR-FM.
